Greetings from the members of Fuvahmulah City Frisbee! We are very excited to bring to you the Ultimate Eid Ufaa 2025! This exciting event is proudly hosted by FVM City Frisbee and the Ultimate Frisbee Association. [With pending collaboration with Fuvahmulah City Council] The goal of the Cup is to introduce a new sport to Fuvahmulah City and ignite a flame of passion in the community for frisbee.
Fuvahmulah is one of the largest islands in the Maldives and is home to a population of 9166 It is also renowned for its competitive sports culture with many active players in various sports, making it the perfect place to introduce and grow the sport of Ultimate Frisbee. The island has 2 full football pitches, 8 futsal grounds and 4 open fields which are the perfect environment for Ultimate.
Our journey in Fuvahmulah City began on 26 February 2024 when the sport was introduced to the island by the current vice president of the Ultimate Frisbee Association. Since then, our community has grown rapidly from just 8 to 40+ players ranging from ages 18 to 22. As the island is blessed with the resources to play any sport, we are dedicated to nurturing talent, fostering team spirit, and introducing the vibrant sport of ultimate frisbee to Fuvahmulah City.
The goal of the tournament is to introduce and showcase ultimate frisbee to the public and encourage new players to try-out the sport.
